Connect ChatGPT to Paigy, and answer its first question from your phone Tested 28 Oct 2026

About five minutes. You'll connect ChatGPT, have it send a real question to your phone, answer it with a tap, and watch ChatGPT pick the answer up.

What you need

A paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu), on chatgpt.com in a browser. On a work workspace, an admin may need to allow custom connectors. Some guides report Plus and Pro allow read-only connectors only; then ChatGPT can't send the question in Part 3.
The Paigy app on your phone, signed in, with notifications allowed. No account yet? You'll make one during sign-in, then sign in to the app with the same one.

Part 1: connect

Copy Paigy's address:

https://paigy.ai/api/mcp

Open chatgpt.com/plugins, click +, then Add custom MCP server. If that page doesn't exist on your account: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode, then Create.
Name: Paigy. Description: My Paigy work: what my agents need from me.
Connection: the public endpoint. URL: paste the address.
Authentication: OAuth. If asked how the client registers, choose Dynamic Client Registration; leave the client ID and secret empty.
Tick I understand and want to continue, then Create (it may say Create as a plugin).

Part 2: approve on Paigy

A window opens on paigy.ai/connect. Sign in to Paigy if it asks.

The page names the app and the address it returns you to. If that address isn't chatgpt.com, tap Not now.

Check the line Returns you to chatgpt.com.
Tap Approve. The window hands you back to ChatGPT.

On your phone, open Paigy's Agents tab: there's a new agent named after ChatGPT. That's the connection, and disconnecting it there ends it.

ChatGPT shows up as one of your agents.

Part 3: your first real task

Start a new chat, type @ and pick Paigy. ChatGPT asks you to confirm before it sends anything; confirm. Then send this:

Use Paigy to ask me on my phone: should the team offsite be on Tuesday or Thursday? Give me both as options.

ChatGPT calls Paigy and sends the question with the two options. It may tell you it's waiting for your answer.

On your phone the question arrives as a card on For you with Tuesday and Thursday to tap. Depending on your call settings, Paigy may ring you instead, and you can answer out loud.

Answer with one tap.

Tap Thursday. Back in ChatGPT, if it was still waiting, it picks the answer up by itself. If it had already finished replying, say:

Check Paigy for my answer.

ChatGPT reads the answer from Paigy: Thursday.

If something goes wrong

No Paigy tools in the chat: check the connector is switched on for this chat, and that the address is exactly https://paigy.ai/api/mcp.
The window doesn't hand you back: tap Try again on the Paigy page, or remove the connector and add it again.
No card on your phone: sign in to the app with the same Paigy account you approved with, and allow notifications.

The honest limit. Your assistant can use Paigy while you are chatting with it. Paigy can't open a chat, wake the assistant, or hand it work on its own. If an answer arrives after the assistant has replied, it waits in Paigy until you next ask. For agents that keep working while you're away and get woken when you answer, use a coding agent on your computer.
